As a family activity with the idea of trying something new, we did an introductory class. They were so informative and had everything we needed-we learned the basics and even competed. Our schedule was a little nutty scheduling it and Al was very patient and accommodating while we figured out a day/time. Him and his team are very knowledgeable. We left feeling we had a great overview on what fencing involves. Highly recommend Al and his team.

I have been a student of Al for over a decade. He has led me through countless high school, local, regional and national tournaments. Al is a bastion of fencing strategy, technique, history, and the current state of the sport. He fosters an environment that encourages everyone to try to be their best, and to enjoy the process of learning the sport. Aside from being an amazing coach he is also a wonderful person. He is one of the most compassionate, honorable, kind, funny, and devoted people I have ever met.
