Saber Spectacular Report
May 30, 2016
Dear fencers and parents,
This is photo report about another great day for Integrity Fencing Studio! Saber Spectacular, Jersey City.
Darren Yen 1st in Cadets, 3rd in Juniors.
Darren shows fantastic skills and improved himself dramatically! This is extremely important before his coming performance at the National in Dallas.
Jeremy Giles is 3rd in Y14. Jeremy's fencing made our day. All of our boys in Y14 lost their DE's on the way but Jeremy beat number 1 seated fencer 15:7 and lost his semi 15:14!! What a great bout!!
Oliver Epstein 3rd and Vincent Hong 5th in Y10. Oliver fenced better and better from bout to bout and unfortunately did not have enough time to find the key to opponent in his semi. Vince Hong fenced really good in the pool and got the 4th seating number, beat his club mate Lucas Clymer (1st tournament ever) and lost to another club mate Oliver, at the end he finished with the medal for the 5th place!
Alex Green the 8th in Y12.
Alex is getting the same opponent for several tournaments already and we are still working on tactic. Ideas were absolutely correct, but technique didn't wor kwell. As a result we lost in 1/8 and got the medal for the 8th place. Quality of fencing was absolutely professional!
Isaac Chen 3rd, Jost Jansen 5th, Brayden Bonetti 8th in Y8. It was really spectacular! Fighting between Issac and Jost from tournament to tournament is more pro and smart! Jost was better last tournament and Isaac is better today.
Brayden fenced his 1st event ever and won 1st DE. It gave him the 8th place and the medal! Fkr is a 6 y.o. fencer who fenced Y8 event 1st time...Great job!
For Kayla Legatt, Nastassjya Kuznetsova and Natalie Yen day was not too successful, but goals for all of them are different and we know what we have to fix.Â
Also, Nastassja, Natalie, Chris Martin, Andrew, Lucas, Preston, Marshall, Cameron, Henry, Aaron, Jeremy (in Cadets), Darren (in Seniors) lost their bouts for medal!!
By another words they stopped in one step from top 8 and medal...It was really hard to see how most of them disappointed, but sport is sport and come back for practice and let's continue!Â
Congratulations to fencers, coaches and parents!
Additionally, this event was the 1st for Brayden, Natalie, Lucas and Chris. You guys did a great job! Go Integrity! Here we go!
